Amethyst Drago

Amethyst Drago, 17, currently attends Vista Ridge High School in the Black Forest area of Colorado Springs. Prior to joining YDA, she took several broadcast and media courses in high school. Her film TO BE HEARD, explores how and why the voices of youth are often invisible, ignored or misrepresented. Through the eyes of three young subjects, Amethyst weaves a poetic and visually rich tapestry honoring the thoughts and feelings of her young storytellers. Amethyst is particularly interested in cinematography and hopes to study film, and begin working in the industry after graduation.
