Russell Bowen graduated last spring from Palmer High School. His interest in film production spans nearly a decade and he was an active member of Terror TV at Palmer while enrolling in
several film and video classes. His film THE MACHINIST is a portrait of Martin, a local vintage race car restorer and mechanic, who immigrated from South Africa to start a new life in Colorado and share his vast knowledge of older race cars.The film offers a meditation on happiness while sharing details of Martin’s life and current obsession with car engines. Russell’s own cinematography (including drone footage) captures the joy and vibrancy of his subject.
