Yolande Morrison

Yolande Morrison is a junior at Widefield High School and currently lives in Fountain, CO. One year ago, she left the island of Jamaica with her mother and siblings to join her grandmother in Colorado Springs. She applied to YDA to tell the story of what it means to leave your homeland and everything that you know and love to explore new opportunities in a strange new country. Her film FINDING HOME recounts her story as a new immigrant and the challenges and successes involved in finding a new home. Yolande loves filmmaking and wants to study film and audio production in California next year.
