Four YDA films premiere at Rocky Mt. Women’s Film Fest

Four YDA films, GRAFFITI’S TRUE COLORS, OUR FOREVER HOME, BUG OUT, and AFTER WAR, were featured at the 2014 Rocky Mountain Women’s Film Festival in Colorado Springs, Colorado November 7-9, 2014.  Filmmakers Tino Pacheco-Johson, Sandy Schwertfeger, Andre Zimmermann and Bailey Francisco introduced their films to packed audiences and answered questions following the screenings.

Executive Director Linda Broker stated how poised the YDA filmmakers were, especially given that it was the first time for all of them to present films at a prominent festival.  “The films completed in the Youth Documentary Academy were impressive and we were proud to feature four of them in this year’s program, giving broader exposure to talented youth in our community.  I think everyone who has been associated with YDA is proud to have such a valuable new addition to the cultural landscape in Colorado Springs.”
